In 1875, a French entrepreneur built a luxurious mansion in the heart of Montreal. In 1950, part of the structure was converted to accommodate a banking institution and twenty years later, a section of the building became a hotel. Further changes were eminent and in October 2004, the entire site was shut down for complete renovation making way for a brand new hotel to emerge.
